Update: Nothing is broken and Tomas Vaitkus will be riding tomorrow
Team Radioshack rider, Tomas Vaitkus, crashed during the opening stage of the Volta ao Algarve.

Several riders went down with 15 kilometers to go from the finish. Vaitkus appears to be the only rider injured. He was transported to the hospital. In a message from Vaitkus, he seemed upbeat and positive.
Thomas Vaitkus said that the injuries did not appear bad and he is waiting for results from x-rays. Doctors will determine if Vaitkus can race in tomorrow’s Volta stage.
We are crossing our fingers for Vaitkus, and hope he will be alright by tomorrow when stage two starts.

Tomas just give up on the Volta ao Algarve, the very cold and the wounds of yesterday forced him to it. Azevedo will now have to watch the race in another way.
