Chris Horner
Having worked exceptionally hard as a member of Team RadioShack Chris Horner has broken into the top ten of the world rankings.
The UCI (http://www.uci.ch) updated the World Rankings yesterday, April 26th. The effort and miles over tarmac have led Chris Horner to memorable finishing places this season, but April has been a month that has brought spring to us all and put a spring in Horner’s riding. He won the Tour of the Basque Country, claimed a 10th place in the Amstel Gold and 7th in the Fleche Wallone; and yesterday another top ten placing, this time in the Liège-Bastogne-Liège where he finished 8th. What a month; what a rider.
Chris’s reward for all of this hard work? One hundred and forty-four world ranking points and 9th place in the table, three places up from last month and hard on the heels of Contador, Cancellara and Boonen.
Team RadioShack may be a new team but its experience and talent is shining through – and Chris Horner is blazing the brightest light.

Chris has been my favorite American rider for years.
His past misfortunes with crashes at crucial junctures in his development as a top pro rider have been troubling, but as the TRUE PRO that he is, he is over coming all his trials and tribulations proving to the entire sport that he is a truly great rider and competitor. The spring classics have prepared him for the rest of the season, and he will be a mainstay for his team, supporting Levi and Lance when called upon. Ride on Chris!!!
