Team Radioshack Ready for Tour of Denmark

The 2010 edition of Tour of Denmark/Post Danmark Rundt is the 20th Tour, with four editions between 1985 and 1988 and continuously since 1995.

The race has grown to be the biggest sporting event on Danish soil. Post Danmark Rundt holds the highest category on the UCI European Tour, and is each year followed by more than three million people through the media and along the route. More than half a million people join the riders as they make their way through the country, each year with six stages in every corner of the country.
The most famous point in the race is Kiddesvej in Vejle where the king stage of the tour ends every year. The hill at Kiddesvej delivers ascent percentages of up to 19 per cent, and – traditionally – it has a great influence on the general classification in the race.

The final stage in the 2010 edition of Post Danmark Rundt will finish with five laps on the course for the 2011 Road Race World Championship with the final sprint at the top of Geels Bakke (Geels Hill). The riders will climb 105 meters in altitude on each lap, which besides from the final climb contains the 3.9 km Slotsbakken with the highest point on the circuit.

It is going to be exciting to see how the three news Team Radioshack stagiaires (Clinton Avery, Taylor Phinney, Jesse Sergent) will do in their first race under the Radioshack banner.
