maybe all grey from shoulders to shorts. in the middle where the shack symbol is….inside it red. maybe the sleves could have a red stripe on the side with same on the shorts connecting from shoulder to the side of the torso straight down to the thigh. the rest grey. I should have designed these uni’s.

The Radio Shack kit and “Circle-R” logo look old-fashioned, and not in a “retro, cool” way. Some of the design suggestions on this Forum are better than the current design! I say back to the drawing board for a complete do-over. Hire an Italian designer, send him/her the logos, and let them start from scratch. I know “The Shack” is trying to improve their image, but I still only shop there for cables, batteries, and spare electronic parts. Maybe that is part of my problem with the logo and design in general – it is not an exciting store, so in my mind, the logo design also suffers!

It’s terrible. For all the money and marketing muscle behind this team, one would expect more. From the bike-to-this kit, it looks like a color-blind person and someone from NASCAR got together after a couple of drinks to see what they could come up with. Back to the drawing board!

Clearly, I am not an jersey designer, but neither is the person who style this kit. It looks like it was made of some leftover material from Grandma’s quilting party sewing kit.

I like the comment that the colors should be red on top and silver grey on the bottom … but most important is that we can spot them easily in the peloton … by the way the kit is not that bad regarding other teams … go team RC go !!!

Pssst Pssst Sound of the rear tire going flat 85 miles from home and no spares left, an it is Raining. It is a bad day and the Jersey is about the same for what I hope is going to be a great team.. Lets hope that the some one comes along and changes the Jersey and has a spare inner tube for me….

I forgot to mention, that I like this colour scheme.

Just thinking, whether the torso part could sport a silhoutte behind the TRS logos (the Stars and Stripes with Liberty – much like the 1999 jerseys).

At what point, if any, must the design be fixed for the 2010 tour season?

I didn’t know the flag design on the sleeve could only be worn by a former US National Champ.

And, I have seen a grey jersey (2003 with the Berry Floor logo). I thought it looked cool.

If Nike designed it, and the marketing depts. of RadioShack, Trek, LiveSTRONG, Nissan, and UCI, like it okay, then that’s the way it will be! I believe they are paying the salaries, last time I checked.

Does anyone remember the retro-gray-postal jerseys the team once wore on a TdeF final day? Changing colors for a day earned the team a fine.

A forest green color (where the jersey is currently red) would be deadlier more cool. The gray top, above the color line is a keeper. But the peloton rides out of the green valley into cloud level during the most important stages.

Okay I have to say this, this is a fansite but that article read more lime propaghanda than an honest critique. While fashion may be a perspective thing, no one really believes this kit will be “pretty darn cool” or however you said it. And while it does matter more if the team succeeds, from a marketing perspective, it doesn’t matter that much more. This is why Rock Racing can see their team kits for such a high price even though they only had one guy placing in races and no international exposure. Those kits sell like the newest tickle me Elmo doll and it’s all because of the design. I’m not saying that it’s the best styled kit, but no one’s saying it’s dull or blah.

Heck even an all white kit with a huge red Shack circle logo would look better. In fact, you guys should put on a contest to see what this site’s fans would come up with if they could design the kits.

Ladies and gentlemen, Looks to me that there are too many designers involved. The Shack and Nike people should limit their involvement in the placement of their logos and let ONE real kit designer (hopeful with EURO fashion scene) do his/her job.

A suggestion to the ONE designer. Design from the ground-up, meaning get rid of the fist attempt and see if there is a way to follow or compliment the bike design.

Bottom line for me… I want the kit to have WOW factor up close and distinguishable from a helicopter shot.

Make the radio shack logo look like a bicycle. Two circles the front with the R logo and the rear like it is going fast. Put the R logo higher on the chest and on the left side then on the bike fraame put the trek logo with the niki logo on the lefr shoulder. If you use greay use 18% grey

Joe, my comment above has absoloutely nothing to do with girl scout brown, tradition, non-tradition, or color palate. Go find an art or history colum to comment on. I don’t care if they wear girl scout brown, or busted nose red. When they win, they will declare cool. So long as they fix the portion of the front where the red meets the grey. (That’s as flattering as woman’s bust in a TRADITIONAL KOREAN DRESS. Any one listening).

I think the comment above from JMSCO is because of the traditional brown girl scout colors. I think you could do better, with all the non traditional colors coming into recent team kits perhaps using traditional colors would be distinctive. The Radio Shack logo seems to present challenges by itself. Use the same panel design but change the color palate, as others have said you can do better.

I really liked the kit Lance wore at Nevada City. That was classy. I don’t know if it would stand out in the pelleton though. The new kit stands out and I think that is good!

Sure, we all want to see the riders up front. Those who are up front will be easy to see, those back further will be hard to spot. This is kit for bike racing, there should be some brightness to them. The sponsors(R Shack) want to convey that things are happening, not that they have already happened.
