Team Radioshack just picked the nine riders who are going to represent the team in this year’s Tour de France.
It is a very strong team with more than one possible leader for the General Classification.
Who should the team ride for in TdF 2011?

I feel a little silly voting for team leader – Although I know its good PR and a great way to build fan interes. The truth is that only Johan has the expertise and vantage point to know the best selection for team leader. HaBut here’s my two cents anyway. I’ld like to see something new tried. Popo hasn’t lead a team in a Grand Tour. He has been a superhuman lieutenant helping to win many. Wouldn’t it be great to see him go for it! To give a Guy like that the opportunity to race in a different way, to try to Win the Tour. Wow how exciting for us fans – Many of us relating also having been ‘work horses too’.
Levi is an excellent racer and very successful. He has already been co-leader in the Tour. He misses the mark of the dynamic personality & rides in the Tour. (Sorry Levi – I solute u for all your success) He, Klodën and Chris will provide extraordinary leadership as lieutenants anchoring the team, gluing them together and keeping alot of pressure of of Popo.
But alas, my fantasy Tour team is just that…a fantasy. Because I don’t think Popo wants the lead. Even with as hard as he rides. I think I remember Lance saying that in some form with gratitude of course.
So Johan, show us your expertise. U know these guys and the best configuration to ride the best tour. I am excited to see what u all can do.

Seemingly the GC leader is the man with the best legs.
Chris Horner was recently quoted as saying that “The only man whoc can ride away from me is Contador”.
Looking at his record this year, that seems to be the case. Levi is quite the savvy rider, but Chris is no slouch in the brains department either. I say the team should follow the ‘Leader’.

I would NOT vote for Leipheimer – after he diss’d Lance A. He obviously can’t be trusted – but was happy enough to get a share in Lance’s winning bonus! Same with George Hincapy. Have they never heard the phrase “what’s goes on Tour”?

respect for american rider s in american team but I think only Jani is the one who can beat Alberto in this year Tour de France and if team will not work for him there will be no RS rider in top 8 at the end.
Jani is only rider who already prof that he can beat Alberto in one to one last year on Duphine.
