The last week has been a solid one for Team RadioShack. Ivan Rovny twice placed 5th in bunch sprints along side such riders as Alessandro Petacchi and Danilo Hondo during the Giro di Sardegna.
In that same race, Chris Horner attacked on stage one before being caught at the line by the bunch and followed up that attempt the next day by placing second on stage two. Janez Brajkovic placed 6th on that day and wound up placing 4th overall. Horner, to his credit, keep his second place overall. The team again showed they were the strongest by winning their second team classification in a row. The fact that they were two different sets of riders speaks volumes to the depth and talent at Team Radioshack.
The weekend was filled with nasty rain and brutal headwinds. It was also highlighted with some weird, early season race results. Gert Steegmans and Tomas Vaitkus placed 73rd and 75th respectively in Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. The next day went much better as Gregory Rast placed 9th and Sebastien Rosseler placed 14th in Kuurne-Bruxelles-Kuurne. Rast will team up Lance Armstrong at the Tour of Murcia this week as Team RadioShack continues to rack up results.

Good summary, Thomas. Shows where the Shack’s been, and where they’re headed. Continued success for various riders bodes well for the season and the team’s longer-term prospects for success. GREAT stuff!
