Li Fuyu (born May 9, 1978 in Shandong Province) is a Chinese road racing cyclist who most recently rode for the China-based UCI Continental Trek-Marco Polo Cycling Team.   He turned professional in 2005 with Marco Polo riding with them for two seasons.  In 2007 he signed with Discovery Channel becoming the first Chinese cyclist to ride on an elite Pro Tour team.  When Discovery disbanded he returned to Marco Polo in 2008.

He was recruited into his local sports institute because of his running ability but in 1994 he asked to switch to cycling instead where he began to split his time between road, mountain and track riding disciplines.  He was a member of the Chinese National Mountain Bike Team but his focus for some time has been on road racing.   At 6’1” 170 pounds he is a standout among his countrymen where he enjoys a large following in part due to his successes riding in the China Games which are held every 4 years and have been known to rival the Olympics in popularity.
