I met Lance on 16 July, 2002, my 49 birthday in Merignac, France. The US Postal team was staying at a hotel here, and was about to depart for a ride on their Rest Day. Lance impressed me by being very aproachable. We talked face to face for about ten minutes. He posed for a couple of pics, and gave me his autograph. As an American that lives in France, it’s very good for my moral to see him return to the sport that missed him so much.
My French wife, which by the way is a Cancer Survivor, supports him too.

I am likewise interested in the new kit. I know that when Discovery Channel was formed Lance said he didn’t care what color the pants were as long as they weren’t white. Blue has always seemed to suit Lance’s teams in some fashion, but Radio Shack has a recognizable logo and color, hmmmm…..maybe red and black???????

I’m so excited about the team for next year. Great to hear what the guys have been up to. Can’t wait to see which other riders are signed to ride for “The Shack”.
