I wonder with all the flying Lance will be doing, especially the return long-haul from Europe to the States, whether he can get over the jet lag and potential other issues (viruses, etc.) that will be challenging his body.

In past years he was living in Europe and training for the Tour, and easily able to maintain his fitess level.

However, I’d like to know this time around how Johan and Co. will keep his fitness level at peak (or, getting Lance to peak at the right time). Interesting!

Will TRS share share some of the training and fitness techniques with us fans, even if after the Tour?

One of my buddies went there to help in the medical support team from South Texas. She is a Registered Nurse and she stayed there for a week. She has gotten back recently and wants to go back. There is still alot to do there.

maybe all grey from shoulders to shorts. in the middle where the shack symbol is….inside it red. maybe the sleves could have a red stripe on the side with same on the shorts connecting from shoulder to the side of the torso straight down to the thigh. the rest grey. I should have designed these uni’s.

Chris Horner is a master strategist. My best is that he is fine but putting himself far enough down on GC that he can go out on the hunt for a stage win later in the week. He’s done this before……but I’ll keep my fingers crossed too..I’d hate to hear he hurt himself or is sick.

With the notion that contador was kept on a leash is a reason to believe that kept armstrong in the race is fallacious. It can also be said that it gave him more energy to accelerate on the latter mountain stages which gave him the deciding advantage. He could have squandered his energy long before and struggled towards the end. Speculation is just that.

what is very disturbing to me is armstrong’s downplaying of his chances to win in France.

“It isn’t essential (for me to win). I don’t need to especially, other than to reward all the hard work. There is no difference between winning seven or eight.

“The next Tour will be a great story, the rivalry with Contador, what happened last year…This is good for the Tour but it won’t change my life whether I win or not.”

Contador / Lance will sell papers and every reporter knows it. But to think that the TDF is a two man race (LA and AC) is just crazy. These two teams will have their hands full when the other teams try and fly under the radar while all the noise is being made about this supposed “rivalry”. lance’m Colombian, and I saw your performance in the Tour of Murcia and see
that cost wiguins attacks. I like that you win on 8 tour to demonstrate that you have always been the best so you withdraw.
my suggestion is because they train before the tour in Colombia, Carmichael was here and know how are you would help the Colombian mountains in france too because the mountains are lower, Oscar Sevilla came and stayed here in Colombia. Tyler Hamilton also ran the team here and rock and racing the same way he did come to Colombia and depend upon it that will improve your climbing.

As much as I would like to see the Shack team and Lance have a great TDF, I don’t think Lance has a shot at beating Alberto. Last year Alberto was kept on a tight leash and wasn’t encouraged to attack. There’s no way Lance can match Alberto’s acceleration and maintain pace. Now with all that said, I’m pulling for Andy Schleck.

your position in this video is different from your actual one.. there we can see how comfortable you were and the leg kept spinning that fast about +120 rpm .. please review that idea.. you are still that fit to hit top ten… but you need something defferent something that offers dont have.. your old strange position on the TT bike makes wonders and it does look elegant too… that a thought Lance!

Seriously though, what is it with cats and cyclists?
I ride my MTB at Mission Trails (Missiontrails.org) and in one particular area we used to have a run in with a cat that used to attack the riders as they rode through. This part of the trail is now referred to as “El Gato”.

I’m sure all can be accommodated! Lance just needs to build in a contingency for the wildly unexpected events!

Anyway, on the subject of El Pistolero, I don’t even count his 2007 TdF win as a genuine achievement. Let’s be honest, however dubious the circumstances, he really has Floyd Landis to thank for gifting it to him.

However, I will give him the 2009 win. Fair enough.

As any competitive athlete will tell you, to be at the top of your game from one year to the next takes some doing. So much can change from one week to the next. I know from personal experience.

Now, to be at the top for 7+ years in a row, that is a super-human effort!

I bow to the almighty Lance! Hail Lance!
